We at Nooksack Nut Farm are a relatively new addition to the chestnut industry, with unique beginnings stemming from our experience as avocado farmers. We are proud to have acquired an orchard in 2022 with 7–12-year-old chestnut trees that are now coming into light production. Our farm focuses on European chestnuts, which are perfectly suited for the Pacific Northwest region.
Our product, chestnuts, is a fantastic option for anyone looking to add more nutritious, healthy, gluten-free grains and nuts to their diet. Aside from offering essential vitamins and minerals, they are becoming increasingly popular for their health benefits.
At Nooksack Nut Farm, we take pride in providing fresh chestnuts to our customers. We do this by picking them daily during the harvest time, washing them, and storing them in such a way that their freshness is maintained before shipping. This sets us apart from imported chestnuts, which may not be as fresh after having to go through the process of shipping and customs clearance.
